Radio Bracknell

broadcasting music around the world 24/7

Guidance

Ideally, our shows are in 54 minute segments to allow for 3 minutes of commercials and promotions and 3 minutes of news items every hour.

For two-hour shows, please submit them as 2 x 54 minute segments.

Presenters upload them directly to use via our special website: http://www.bracknell.webs.com/.

Programmes are preferably saved as MP3 files at: 44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, 128Kbps CD quality audio.

You can invite listener requests, comments or suggestions via your own e-mail personal address or a dedicated one at the station (whatever prefix you want e.g. tom@radiobracknell.com or the name of your show, you choose which you prefer, that is if you want one allocated to you) and the mail is delivered direct to your personal e-mail inbox. We do not see the mail but there is a spam protection service built in. This saves you having to give out your own personal e-mail address to the public or making it available to spammers.

If you could provide us with a 30-second promotion for your show, we will air that regularly throughout the week to help build your listener base.

There are no formal ground-rules other than common sense. So, no offensive language whether it be swearing, sexually explicit language or racial/homophobic abuse. We would pull any shows which breach this.

You are allowed to plug any events in Berkshire but, where possible, please offer the organisers this privilege in return for them placing our logo with the text "Supported by Radio Bracknell" on their website, posters and flyers (this is not always possible but is worth a try to help us build up our listenership).

 TWITTER dotcom

You have the opportunity to send in photos from your mobile phone or computer direct to our Twitter page (www.twitter.com/radiobracknell).

You simply e-mail or text-message the photo to:  radiobracknell.8595@twitpic.com

Put the text (in as few words as you can) to summarise the photo in the subject line. This will appear as the caption for the photo on Twitter.

If you do not have your own Twitter account and want a detailed comment, simply e-mail that over to john@radiobracknell.com and we will add it.
